What is a title, really? (...a must read!)

It was a busy month with a trial each weekend! The trial season is short in Wisconsin so we need to make the most of it!  

  • September 9-10 -  AKC Scent Work trials at the beautiful WI Lions Camp in Rosholt WI  - earned the 4 titles listed above!!  Fun day at the camp on the lake!! 
  • September 16-17 - UKC Weekend - Nosework and Conformation  Good weekend! (OH..  and the curls in the photo are what he looks like for a show after a bath!!  )
    • 3 group placements (2nd, 3rd, 4th) 
    • 2 Total Dog, 15/16 novice/advanced nosework runs (7-1st, 3-2nd. 4-3rd. 1-4th) 
    • 2 Fast Cat runs (AKC) nearby, one 27mph!! 
  • September 22 & 24 - Barn Hunt at Oh Rats in Sheboygan Falls - a long slow journey this is going to be and I'm happy about it!  We're only entering 1 Crazy 8 and 2 Open trials on Fridays of a trial weekend and I think that's the way we'll continue!  Mookie needs more experience and only doing limited trials each weekend I think will be good for us both!
  • September 30 - October 1 - AKC Scent Work trials at the Marshfield Fairgrounds at yet another Round Barn touted to be the largest in the World!  Mookie finished his Excellent Containers title and worked on legs toward elite titles!  Thunderstorms in the morning and then high 80s in the afternoon!  So interesting distractions in the barn where there were the livestock were.  It's not like the other round barn where there was a trial that was now an event venue!!
